This tour will take you to a 30 miles scenic road along the Costiera Sorrentina and Amalfitana, also known as the ”light blue ribbon” (Nastro Azzurro) or simply Amalfi drive. Built in 1832 by the bourbons, this road hasn’t changed much ever since. It runs along the Lattari Mountains coastline, passing by a number of small villages nestled in the rocks and considered amongst the prettiest in the Mediterranean, such as Positano, Praiano, Conca dei Marini and Furore. Inhabited since the VI century BC by the Greeks and previously by local indigenous people, this area reached its golden age with the rise of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi in early Middle Age, a major independent city-state. Today, tourism, fishing and farming are the main source of income for locals. The most popular products are: the Limoncello liqueur; the colorful ceramic art-crafts from the traditional school of Vietri; the inlaid wood art in Sorrento and the famous Carta d’Amalfi, an exclusive type of paper made out of cloths (linen, cotton and hemp). All these items are sold by the many shops available in Sorrento and Amalfi.

During the road trip, the driver will stop one or two times to the nicest spots to let you enjoy the view and take pictures. Both in Sorrento and Amalfi you will have some time on your own to stroll around and do your favorite activities, such as shopping, or simply relax to your favorite place. Lunch break to a local restaurant along the way. Positano will be seen from the top, for it would take a few hours just to visit this village, located at the bottom of the hill and only accessible on foot.

The return drive will follow a different route, giving you the chance of seeing the lavish green of those mountains before reaching the highway to Napoli. In some occasions, to avoid getting stuck in traffic jam, the tour can be carried out the other way round, starting from Amalfi and back to Sorrento.

This tour takes approx 8/9 hours time. It operates all year round, except Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st.

Complimentary pick-up and drop-off services are provided to 16 different locations within the city of Naples, serving most of its districts (check list). Departures from other partner hotels or elsewhere will be handled on request and an extra fee could apply. Please inquire.

Each booking is handled individually from our offices. Please provide basic information, such as accommodation address and contact detail, in order to receive our instructions on how to reach the nearest meeting point and being able to get in touch when needed.     
If you are reaching or leaving Naples on the same day of the tour, please provide us your travelling plans, so that we can handle the reservation accordingly.

It is important to get to the meeting point on time in order to not affect next scheduled pick-ups.

Delays might occur due traffic condition, especially during rush hours. In the event our driver or tour manager is running a few minutes late, you will be informed promptly on the contact provided at the time of your reservation.  
Pick-up and drop-off services might involve the change of vehicle before grouping participants by tours.
